Bedroom renovation project announced by the Stafford London hotel

Thirteen bedrooms at the five-red-AA, 105-bedroom Stafford London hotel are to be renovated by New York-based Champalimaud Design.

Located in the Grade-II-listed Carriage House, the bedrooms will be transformed by designer Alexandra Champalimaud with an eclectic take on the hotel's 17th century British heritage.

The renovation will include the transformation of the split-level, 151sq m Guv'nor's Suite. Work is set to be completed in spring 2017.

Stuart Procter, general manager of the Stafford London, described the renovation as "a landmark renovation project" for the hotel.

"The designs that Alexandra and her team have proposed, are a timeless mix of modern British quirkiness and classic English style augmented with a colourful twist, as befits our hotel."

Yesterday the hotel announced that its restaurant is to be redesigned and relaunched under the name of the Game Bird, following the recent appointment of new executive chef James Durrant.
