Nine Group relaunches Crowne Plaza Basingstoke

Hotel and investment company Nine Group, under its subsidiary SARR Investments, has relaunched the Crowne Plaza Basingstoke following refurbishment.

The 140-bedroom hotel, formerly the Hilton Basingstoke, relaunched as a Crowne Plaza last month.

The ground floor of the hotel has been completely renovated, including 60 of its bedrooms and a newly-created 1449 restaurant, bar and grill, a Starbucks, and a revamped business lounge. The hotel's general manager is Vinay Malhotra.

Nine Group founder Vivek Chadha said: "I am delighted to reopen this hotel as a Crowne Plaza after completing extensive refurbishment from a previous Hilton venue. We have invested substantially in the refurbishment to make this the best destination hotel in Basingstoke, offering both business and leisure facilities."

The Nine Group portfolio also includes the newly acquired Greenwich Peninsula hotel, the Trafford Park hotel in Manchester, Novotel London Heathrow airport, Mercure St Albans Noke hotel, and the Holiday Inn London Watford Junction.
