Temakinho to open at One Tower Bridge
Brazilian-Japanese fusion chain Temakinho is opening its second UK site in London's Tower Bridge ahead of wider expansion plans.
The restaurant is taking a 2,777 sq ft unit on a 20-year lease at the One Tower Bridge development, and is due to open in mid-2018. Other tenants confirmed or open at the scheme include Rosa's Thai Café, the Ivy Collection and Gunpowder.
Temakinho, which made its UK debut at Soho's 10 Old Compton Street last year (pictured), specialises in seafood, temakis (sushi rolls) and caipirinhas. It was founded in 2012 by the Maroli family and also operates six restaurants in Italy and one in Ibiza.
Sammy Weinbaum, head of acquisitions at CDG Leisure, which brokered the deal, said the opening is the first of "a number of sites" the brand is looking at in the city.
