Bespoke to partner with Broughton Hotels for USA expansion
Bespoke Hotels is set to partner with Broughton Hotels to operate properties in America as Bespoke USA.
Bespoke currently markets hotels in the US, however this will be the first time the company has taken steps to operate or manage properties there directly.
Having reached a partnership agreement with the US hotel management company, Bespoke USA is working to establish a pipeline of management contracts, alongside acquisition and joint venture opportunities throughout the region.
The company will cover boutique properties, branded urban hotels and golf-led resorts.
Derek Baird of Pacific Property Group, who has more than two decades of experience working in hospitality real estate, will head the joint venture as vice president of Bespoke USA.
Founded in 2001, Broughton Hotels operates 15 boutique hotels in California and Chicago.
"We are thrilled to be teaming up with Bespoke Hotels," said founder Larry Broughton (pictured left). "Our companies share a profound entrepreneurial and creative flair, which I'm sure will bring demonstrable value to the North American market."
"Broughton Hotels is an ideal partner for us as we seek to bring our individually-tailored brand of hospitality to North America," added Robin Sheppard, chairman of Bespoke Hotels (pictured right).
Bespoke is believed to be the UK's largest independent hotel group and runs more than 200 hotels.
