Soho House & Co’s latest hotel, Redchurch Townhouse, has opened in London’s Shoreditch, featuring the company’s casual Italian restaurant brand Cecconi.
The opening marks the first move to east London for the Cecconi restaurant group, which originated in Mayfair in 1978 under Enzo Cecconi – the youngest ever general manager of Cipriani in Venice.
The restaurant serves pasta, seafood and cicchetti, Cecconi signature dishes such as lobster spaghetti and veal Milanese, and pizza from a wood-fired oven.
The walls of the Italian restaurant display artworks by 40 artists under the age of 40, most of whom live in east London.
Rooms, ranging in size from tiny to large, have been individually designed in 1950s to 1970s styles. Each room has a retro chandelier, a living area with mid-century armchairs and desks, as well as furniture by Soho House Design.
