Corporate Receptionist of the Year judge explains the importance of the award

Joanne Tattum, head of partnerships at Moneypenny, says how Corporate Receptionist of the Year will shine a light on a critical member of the business

As the leaders in switchboard outsourcing and more, we understand the importance of exceptional customer experiences here at Moneypenny. We're very proud of our award-winning culture, which is, and always has been, the beating heart of our business.

At the centre of it all, is our people. To give them everything they need to deliver amazing service on behalf of our clients, means it's our job is to create a workplace environment where they feel happy and engaged, have the opportunity to grow, and stay with us for the long-haul. Take Lynn for example – appointed as our very first PA back in 2000 – who's still with us today and now our front of house receptionist, giving every visitor who walks through our doors a warm and friendly welcome.

Once again, Moneypenny is delighted to sponsor the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Awards as a Principle Partner, championing those who achieve excellence. As head of partnerships here at Moneypenny, I'm honoured to have been invited to join the judging panel once again for such a fantastic event, which I shared with Dirk, the awards Chair, when he came to visit our HQ in Wrexham, North Wales last year.

For me, this award is all about shining a well-deserved light on the incredible job receptionists do every day, and taking the time to recognise just how critical they are to the businesses they very proudly represent.

Every year, I'm completely blown away by each and every nominee and I'm in no doubt this year will be any different. Personally, I'm looking forward to giving recognition to individuals who go above and beyond and use their natural charisma, dedication and passion to create memorable experiences every day. There truly is some outstanding talent out there and I'm sure the judging process will be a difficult task, but I'm excited to take part in choosing a 2024 winner.
