Local buyers for Paignton inn

Local buyers Wendy and Colin Uglow are the new leaseholders on the Pier Inn, a substantial detached business in the South Devon seaside resort of Paignton.

There is seating for 60 more customers on the first-floor alfresco terrace that overlooks the harbour and the bay towards Torquay.

Additional facilities include four-bedroom owners' accommodation, a rear beer garden, and picnic bench seating for 20 customers at the front.

The Pier Inn achieved a gross turnover of £350,000 in the year to 31 March 2008.

Bettesworths sold the leasehold off a guide price of £99,950 on behalf of John and Cheryl White. The 30-year Unique Pub Company lease, which started in 1998, is owned by Enterprise Inns and carries a rental of £45,000.
