Local licensee buys New Penny pub in Cheltenham
A local licensee has bought the New Penny pub in the Gloucestershire spa town of Cheltenham.
The pub, which is on the edge of the town centre, is one of 118 that Christie + Co is marketing on behalf of Enterprise Inns.
The detached, two-storey property comprises lounge and public bars with a games area, two-bedroom owners' accommodation, and a trade garden.
New owner Richard Shorting also owns the Pheasant Inn in the nearby village of Staverton, which he acquired in January through Christie + Co.
The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the freehold of the New Penny off a guide price of £450,000.
