Surrey pub manager buys food-led Wiltshire inn

David Price, a pub manager from Cobham in Surrey, has ventured into pub ownership with the purchase of the Penruddocke Arms in Dinton, Wiltshire.

The character country village inn is just off the A30, nine miles west of Salisbury.

Food accounts for 60% of sales at the inn, which can seat around 100 customers across five trading areas.

The detached property has six en-suite letting bedrooms (with planning permission for five more), one en-suite staff bedroom, and a beer garden.

The Winchester office of Christie + Co sold the free-of-tie lease off an asking price of £39,500 on behalf of owner Peter Knight.
