Tenants buy Welsh pub from Enterprise Inns

Cliff and Geanette Davies have bought the Braich-Y-Cymmer Inn from Enterprise Inns after running the pub in Mid Glamorgan for the past nine years.

The two-storey, detached period property is just off the A4064 near the village of Pontycymer at the end of the ex-mining valley of Garw in South Wales.

It incorporates public and lounge bars, a games room, a first-floor function room, three-bedroom owners' accommodation and a rear courtyard.

The new owners intend to covert the upper floor into bed and breakfast accommodation and boost food sales.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £225,000. It is one of 100 properties across the UK that Enterprise Inns is marketing through Christie + Co.
