Chelmsford City Council is seeking experienced and innovative caterers to run an established café in the Hylands Estate, Chelmsford. After having recently undertaken an extensive market testing exercise, the Council is now seeking formal tender submissions for this exciting catering opportunity in a thriving and popular location.
The Hylands Estate regularly attracts over 1,500,000 visitors per year and is home to both the Grade II* Listed Hylands House and an extensive events portfolio ranging from Artisan Markets to festivals. The current café has been operating for over a decade and has a significant and loyal customer base, making this is an excellent opportunity to develop this business.
As England's newest city, Chelmsford City Council has invested heavily in this prestigious venue and is keen to work alongside a catering partner to deliver a distinctive and enticing offering.
Through a competitive tender with negotiation, the Council is looking for a catering partner who can work with us from an early stage, advising on how best to create an innovative offering that will cater for a newly invigorated visitor attraction.
Chelmsford City Council is keen to receive initial proposals from interested parties to help shape the catering offer and is willing to discuss aspects ranging from design ideas and operational needs to exploring potential terms and conditions to ensure the optimum partnership.
