Tender opportunity: Restaurant concessions within extra care locations in Cheshire

Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester Council are seeking an experienced caterer to provide catering services for up to four Retirement Living Villages in Middlewich, Handforth, Crewe and Ellesmere Port.

The facilities cater for people aged 55 and over, with communal facilities including a shop, a hairdressers, a village hall and a bistro restaurant.

Complete with existing fully fitted commercial kitchens, and recently refurbished furniture, we are seeking an outstanding caterer to provide a service offering healthy, freshly cooked meals and refreshments in the bistro and hospitality service when required (such as events, company meetings and training). There is also the potential to use the kitchen facilities to prepare buffets for functions, catering for meetings, offer a take-away service for residents or to expand links with the local community.


Expressions of interest are invited from suitably experienced providers. The service is expected to commence 1 February 2018 for a period of three years with options to extend for three further years. Deadline for bids is Friday 13 October 2017 by 3pm and there is an opportunity to view two of the locations on Thursday 28 September.

Please note, as TUPE is expected to apply to these concessions assistance in relation to LGPS pension costs is available.
