Tender opportunity: Somerleyton country estate

25 September 2018 by

Magnificent Stately Hall for private events and a beautiful lakeside holiday club for adventurous short breaks and holidays.

The owners of Somerleyton Estate seek a creative partner to maximise the opportunity of its hospitality businesses. This is a unique and rare opportunity for a private members club, small hotel group, hospitality venture capitalists or ‘star chef' to partner with East Anglia's only private resort and one of its finest stately homes.

Fritton Lake Resort comprises 80 cabins, cottages, lux camping and a pub with 9 rooms with considerable expansion for a series of new facilities including swimming pool, grass tennis courts, adventure play, cinema and additional water sports planned from 2019 together with a membership scheme.

Somerleyton Hall is currently a popular wedding venue but the family wish to diversify into house parties and family holidays or become affiliated to a private members club or small hotel group club in (East) London which they feel tap into its uniqueness and better serve its long term conservation plan. The hall can accommodate 32 guests with room to expand and can host dinner for 120 people in the former Winter Garden without the need for a marquee.

Expressions of interest from parties with a proven track record of working in similar environments should in the first instance be registered at creativepartnership@somerleyton.co.uk by 15 November 2018.
