Andrew Cook leaves Chewton Glen for new general manager role

Andrew Cook has left his role as general manager at Chewton Glen in Hampshire after four years.

He has taken a new position as general manager at the Lakes by Yoo, a collection of luxury waterside holiday cabins and apartments in the Cotswolds.

Prior to joining Chewton Glen, Cook spent four years as manager at the Diamonds La Gemma Dell ‘Est and Diamonds Star of The East luxury resorts in Zanzibar.

His career includes managerial roles at the Westcliff hotel and the Mount Nelson hotels in South Africa. He has also worked at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Resort, Manama; the Turnberry hotel and golf resort in Scotland; and the Royal Abjar hotel in Dubai.

Cook said: "We have a pipeline of exciting projects planned over the coming years and I look forward to welcoming guests and working with the incredible team that we have on-site."

The Lakes by Yoo rural estate is spread across 850-acres of lakes, meadows and woodland.

Since 1999 real estate developer and designer Yoo has launched hotels, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects in 36 countries worldwide.

Chewton Glen has been contacted for comment on who is replacing Cook as general manager.
