Sabrina Gidda to oversee menus at luxury London karaoke bar

Luxury Parisian entertainment brand BAM Karaoke is to make its UK debut this spring, with a food offer overseen by chef Sabrina Gidda.

The 10,000 sq ft venue will launch near London's Victoria and feature 22 private karaoke rooms, a bar, outdoor terrace, live music stage and DJ booth.

Gidda, former head chef at Bernadi's in London and a two-time Roux Scholarship finalist, will act as consultant culinary director and create menus focusing on modern European cuisine with a French influence.

Dishes in the bar and karaoke boxes will include devilled eggs gribiche with crispy parsley; steak tartare croustade with dijonnaise.

Guests will also be able to order a variety of flatbreads alongside fried chicken with hot honey mustard; mini croque monsieurs with fennel salami and reuben sauce; and a Merguez sausage hot dog with yoghurt aioli and herbs.

"Music is such a liberator, I love the energy and joy it can bring," said Gidda.

"Our aim is to infuse that same dynamic energy into the F&B experience. The menu is bold, playful and vibrant - capturing the essence of what BAM Karaoke Box stands for."

Gidda recently joined contract caterer Vacherin as culinary consultant on a three-year contract that will see her develop new menus and help train young chefs.

BAM Karaoke, which stands for Boîte à Musique (music box), is inspired by private karaoke boxes found in Asia.

It runs five sites in Paris, two in Madrid, and one in Bordeux.
