Police seek to identify man following assault that left restaurant worker in coma

Police investigating the serious assault of a restaurant worker who is in an induced coma after he was punched in the face in what appears to been an unprovoked attack outside his workplace in London's Brixton, have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

Emergency services had been called to Ferndale Road in Brixton shortly after midnight on Saturday 3 December. The victim, who is in his 20s, had been working at a restaurant when he was approached by two men.

Police have said one of the men punched the victim in the face, resulting in him falling to the ground and hitting his head on the pavement.

The men then ran off towards Nursery Road.

Detectives have reviewed CCTV from the area and shared an image of a man they would like to identify.
