Ciarán Fahy to leave Spartan Advisors

Ciarán Fahy will be leaving his role as head of hotels at Spartan Advisors at the end of the week.

Speaking to The Caterer, Fahy confirmed his departure after a year in the role, and said his colleagues at Spartan had been "very supportive of my decision to spend more time with my young family" in Wales. He added that he has no immediate plans.

Spartan Advisors is a Barclay family-owned company focused on investment opportunities in the luxury hotel sector. The company was launched in 2018 as a separate company to the Barclay brothers' Ellerman Hotel Company (EHC), which owns the five-red-AA-starred, 136-bedroom Ritz London and the five-AA-starred, 73-bedroom Beaumont hotel. Spartan manages the Beaumont and advised on the Ritz London's refinancing in 2018.

Former Ellerman Investments director Richard Faber founded Spartan after 18 years with Ellerman and oversees the company as managing director. Fahy was formerly chief executive of EHC and also previously worked as managing director of the Cavendish London.
