Docket No. 33 restaurant in Shropshire to relocate and add rooms

Shropshire's Docket No. 33 restaurant has announced it will be relocating and adding four bedrooms to its business in spring 2023.

The restaurant will be rebranded as Docket Restaurant by Stuart Collins and move into a Tudor-fronted Elizabethan House near its original 35-cover site.

Collins, a regional heat winner of Great British Menu in 2021, founded Docket No. 33 with his wife Frances in 2017.

Although the new space will cater for the same number of people, there will also be an open kitchen, chef's table and a feature bar.

Ten to twelve guests will be able to make use of the private dining room in the former bank manager's office.

Plans have also been submitted for a speakeasy style bar in the cellar vault.

Work is due to start in early 2023, with the relocation expected to be complete by late spring of next year.

Commenting on the announcement, Frances said: "Our restaurant business has really developed over the past five years – success helped undoubtedly by talented staff, loyal customers and brilliant local suppliers – but we've always wanted to take it to the next level. Lockdown, and our ability to adapt and still see the business flourish made us realise we were ready to expand. We've been looking for the right premises to start our own restaurant with rooms for a for a while, so this opportunity couldn't have come at a better time. We can't wait to get started!".

Frances and Stuart Collins founded Docket No. 33 in 2017.
