Compass Group's Eurest Services wins £1.8m Computacenter deal
Compass Group has won back a contract lost to rival Elior last year at IT services company Computacenter.
The catering contract, worth £1.8m in total turnover over three years, will see Compass running services including the Lakeview restaurant, Atrium coffee bar, an Amigo shop and hospitality at the site under its Eurest Services brand.
Elior, which recently won Westland Helicopters off Compass, conceeded the contract with Computacenter had been brought to a premature end.
An Elior spokeswoman said: "Elior UK can confirm that after lengthy discussions with Computacenter that we have taken the difficult decision to reduce the length of the contract as it was not in the interest of the business to continue with the full agreement."
Computacenter comes soon after Eurest Services's biggest contract win since launching last autumn, with a catering and facilities management deal at utility company National Grid.Graham Sims, managing director of Eurest Services, said: "We are delighted to regain the contract with Computacenter.
This demonstrates that, since our launch last year, we have got it right in terms of delivering value for money, integrating food and support services and understanding our clients' needs."
