Wise Catering reports record Six Nations corporate hospitality bookings
Southampton-based Wise Catering has had a record number of corporate hospitality bookings for this year's Six Nations Rugby internationals at Twickenham on the back of England's strong performance against Scotland at the weekend.
The caterer has seen record levels of enquiries for the 2013 Twickenham matches and has already reached its maximum capacity of 1,000 covers for the forthcoming England match against France and is close to capacity for the contest against Italy.
The recent ‘Calcutta Cup' game against Scotland also resulted in record figures for the caterer.
Wise Catering has saw an overall 22% increase to date in corporate hospitality sales across its portfolio of events that included the autumn international rugby matches, the PSP Southampton boat show and Newbury Races.
The Company's Yacht Charter Arm has also seen an upturn in enquires and bookings. Like-for-like sales are ahead of forecast with an increase of almost 20%.
Chris Treacher, managing director of Wise Catering, commented: "England's performance in the Autumn and strong start in the Six Nations has contributed to a record number of enquiries and bookings for Twickenham.
"In fact, we are now at capacity. However, overall hospitality bookings are strong and I'm delighted to also see a significant uplift in corporate yacht charter bookings for the 2013 season."
