Gainsborough Bath Spa joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

YTL Hotels' Gainsborough Bath Spa has joined the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) marketing consortium.

As a result, the property will have access to SLH's global reservation platform as well as the brand's sales, marketing and distribution services. The hotel was formerly part of Leading Hotels of the World.

The 99-bedroom Gainsborough Bath Spa is the only hotel in Britain to have access to natural thermal waters from the springs below and opened in July 2015 with a restaurant headed by chef Dan Moon.

Andrew Jordan, executive vice president of YTL Hotels UK, said: "We are delighted to integrate with an organisation as prestigious as Small Luxury Hotels of the World. We offer a highly luxurious wellness and gourmet experience for our guests and firmly believe this collaboration will reinforce our standing as one of the finest hotels in Britain and the world."

Daniel Luddington, vice president of development at SLH, said: "We have selected the property for its unique access to naturally heated spring waters, deep-rooted heritage and sustainable dining concept."

Malaysian-based YTL Hotels also owns and operates Monkey Island Estate in Bray, Berkshire; the Glasshouse in Edinburgh; and the Academy and Threadneedles in London.
