Arinza Star Hotels put into administration
Arinza Star Hotels - owner of two hotels in Derbyshire and Lancashire - has been placed in administration.
The administrator, financial advisory and investment banking firm Duff & Phelps, has appointed Legacy Hotels and Resorts to operate the two hotels - the 46-bedroom Mill hotel in Croston, Lancashire, and the 50-bedroom Miraj hotel and leisure club in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Legacy will also carry out a review of the two properties.
"We will act to ensure that all staff and customers will be kept fully updated at this difficult time as we assess the situation and work together to ensure the best outcome for the business," said John Whitfield of Duff & Phelps.
Legacy Hotels and Resorts operates and represents a portfolio of more than 30 three- and four-star properties ranging in style from stunning country houses to city-centre hotels across the UK and Southern Spain - with more than 2,000 guest rooms.
Andy Townsend, chief executive officer of Legacy, said: "We have vast experience in operating and managing hotels across the UK and have established a reputation of turning round under-performing venues."
