First part of Radisson Blu Leeds £3.5m refurbishment completed

The 147-room Radisson Blu hotel in Leeds has completed the first part of a £3.5m refurbishment.

As part of the overhaul, 72 guest bedrooms, meeting rooms, breakout areas and public areas have undergone a transformation since January this year.

Malcolm Rann, regional director for Radisson Blu Hotels UK, said: "We are proud to unveil our new-look hotel. This is a significant investment and represents a marked change for the hotel. We are confident that this enhanced product offering, upgraded meetings and events facilities, and the new Fire Lake bar and restaurant concept; will help to reaffirm our position as one of this thriving city's leading hotels."

The second phase of the redesign is expected to begin in January 2016 and will see the remaining 75-bedrooms redecorated.
