Former Nigel Mansell owned hotel to be sold

The hotel and golf club in Devon originally created by former racing driver Nigel Mansell has been put on the market for £11.75m.

Located in 248 acres of grounds, the four-AA-star, 56-bedroom Woodbury Park hotel and golf club in Woodbury Salterton, near Exeter, was owned by Mansell between 1994 and 2007, when he sold it to Sue and Robin Hawkins for an estimated £18m.

The hotel features two restaurants, six conference rooms and a leisure centre with spa, gym, squash court and indoor swimming pool. There are also five self-catering lodges, two golf courses, a rugby or football pitch and tennis courts.

The property is being marketed by Savills.
