Hotel operator the Vienna Group renamed the Lowy Group
The Vienna Group, the six-strong hotel group and education services provider, has rebranded itself as the Lowy Group.
The company, which was founded by chairman Peter Lowy in 1973 with the purchase of the Hotel Vienna in Maida Vale, London, hopes the rebrand will provide clearer definition of the services it provides.
As well as operating two hotels in London and four in Brighton, Lowy Group owns and operates subsidiary companies that focus on working with educational institutions.
These are Anglo American Educational Services, which assists US university groups with accommodation and academic support during their semester programmes in London, and Access Apartments, a company set up to accommodate the growing number of students from language schools visiting the UK.
Lowy said: "This rebrand comes as a natural progression for the group as it continues to innovate within the hotel, leisure and education industries and enjoy ongoing financial success."
Lowy's estate incorporates Umi London, Umi Brighton, Best Western Brighton, Best Western Burns Hotel, London, and Brighton's Queens hotel and Kings hotel.
