Lancaster Landmark hotels receive Carbon Trust award
The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company has been awarded the Carbon Trust Standard after reducing its carbon emissions by 2.4% across its three London properties.
Based on a rigorous independent assessment, the Carbon Trust Standard certifies that organisations have measured, managed and reduced carbon emissions, and are committed to reducing them year-on-year.
The company's three hotels included in the assessment process include the Lancaster London, the Landmark London and K West Hotel & Spa.
Among the many initiatives undertaken by the Lancaster London to reduce carbon emissions have been the installation of LED lights, the use of occupancy sensors in public areas, and an increase in recycling.
Brian Hladnik, managing director at the Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company, said the Carbon Trust Standard allows the business to communicate its environmental credentials with integrity to guests. "Cutting carbon is a priority for us as a business and delivers tangible bottom-line benefits," he said.
