Lingfield Park Marriott opens

The 116-bedroom Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel and CountryClub opens today following a £29m investment by racecourse owner and operator,Arena Leisure.

Incorporating a leisure club, spa and golf club house, thehotel is situated adjacent to the Surrey racecourse,<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 /?>

LingfieldPark .

With 90 race meetings a year at the course, racing and golfpackages are expected to help drive business to the hotel.

Sean Quinney, hotel general manager, said he is confidentthat guests will be impressed with the hotel.

"Our sales and marketing team has been busy for some timeand bookings are flowing in," he said. "We are seeing great interest fromconference and banqueting organisers as we do have a unique proposition here."
