About Malmaison
Our brassieres are the heart and soul of Malmaison, always buzzy with delicious, cooking and knowledgeable, friendly staff. The food is mouthwateringly tasty and wholesome, cooked by our team of award winning chefs in a relaxed and fun environment.

For a cosy late night drink or a long night of catching up with friends you can lose yourself for hours in our bars. Either way, indulge yourself with hand picked eclectic wines by the glass, serious cigars and great cocktails will leave you with that all over "feel good" glow.

After a hard day at work or play your Mal room is your oasis of calm to enjoy as you please. If you are staying in one of our suites you could be relishing in amazing city views from a mezzanine level bedroom, snuggling down in your annex lounge with your plasma screen and favourite dvd or enjoying the pure drama of a four poster bed.
All our rooms have the complete set of Mal ingredients - great beds for sleepy heads, moody lighting, power showers, CD players, CD libraries, satellite TV, serious wines and naughty nibbles. Other little luxuries include fast and free internet access, same-day laundry, exclusive toiletries that you're encouraged to take with you, ‘vroom' room service and a hi-octane gym.

Recruitment process, work life balance, career development, training, benefits:
At Malmaison we are keen to grow from within and develop our employees' skills at all levels. We have targeted ourselves to ensure 80% of all our appointments are from within. To enable all workers to progress and become "experts" in their industry Malmaison runs on and off job development programs. Our graduate & management development program is designed to give current & future department leaders the tools, skills and confidence to successfully head their team and deliver the best results for the team, the guest and the company.
Our concern for the well being of employees is reflected in the work we are doing at the time of going to print to improve our pension schemes and flexible benefits packages to suit employees' needs. Work is underway to maximise our incentive programs so more people benefit from them and we are keen to improve our support services such as chiropody to ensure employees are comfortable and relaxed in their workplace. We are also just launching discount schemes for all with large national high street providers to thank our people for working at Mal.

Attract better-qualified candidates and retain them for a longer period:
Malmaison is keen to be an employer of choice, attracting the best candidates and retaining them for a longer period. Consequently, jobs are offered on merit, not length of service or age. Once individuals are employed with us opportunities to progress are based on performance and ability. We are proud to have some of the youngest General Managers in the industry and a high number of Acorn Award winners working for us. We work very hard to build strong relationships between the hotel team and the managers to ensure employees are happy and cared for in their workplace. In October we are introducing a new appraisal process to give people the chance to log & discuss their strengths, successes, development needs and career aspirations with their line manager, we can then capture that and put together tailored plans for each individual.

We have a strong respect for all our staff and recognise individuals have their own objectives within the Malmaison group. We therefore offer them the chance to move up and within or across both Malmaison or our sister group Hotel du Vin hotels should they choose by offering an Exchange Program, Internal vacancy list, placement program and opportunities to go and work at a new opening.

Employer reputation and status:
At Malmaison we have a reputation as an employer that seeks and values input from all employees regardless of position or title. All members asking questions to a senior member of staff can expect a response. Having a strong relationship with those closest to the guests helps us maintain our reputation as both a competitive employer and hotel.
