L to R: Michael Jones, Steven Perrett, Sarah Jones
Bath Boutique has added a third business to its city centre portfolio of luxury bed and breakfasts, with the acquisition of the 10-bedroom One Three Nine.
Michael and Sarah Jones, who head Bath Boutique, bought their first business, the six-bedroom Brindleys Boutique B&B in 2011, adding the 12-bedroom Grays two years later.
The couple intend to build a luxury small group of boutique guest houses and hotels in Bath and are being supported in their aim with funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Sarah Jones sources the properties and organises the refurbishments, while Michael manages the finance and marketing side of the business. They employ 25 staff across the three properties.
Michael Jones said: "We are very pleased with what we have achieved in the last five years and with the introduction of One Three Nine, this will help grow the business significantly.
"Bath is a city that is highly competitive for our industry but we do feel we have tapped into the right market for UK and overseas visitors looking for something a little bit special.
Steven Perrett, relationship director at Royal Bank of Scotland, added: "Bath attracts a high number of visitors year on year, all choosing to visit this Georgian city and explore what it has to offer, not only in terms of history but also for its high end accommodation. We have no doubt Michael and Sarah have acquired a prime target hotel, which is already proving a sound investment and complements the other two properties perfectly."
