SleepSmart asks hotel guests for homeless donation

Guests staying at some of the UK's top hotels are being asked to donate £1 to the homeless during the next two months.

The SleepSmart campaign is a spin-off of StreetSmart, which has raised over £4.2m for the homeless since 1998 by adding £1 to restaurant bills. It aims to provide some comfort and hope to people who live on the streets.

SleepSmart is running alongside the StreetSmart campaign throughout November and December.

Deutsche Bank will cover the administration costs of both campaigns, ensuring every penny of every £1 voluntary donation is given to homeless projects.

Hotels taking part in SleepSmart include the Arch and Dukes in London, the Balmoral in Edinburgh and the Lowry in Manchester.
