Michael Voight has been appointed general manager of the 82-bedroom Arch London, a year on from co-ordinating accommodation for athletes and officials for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

German-born Voight has extensive experience in the five-star hotel sector having previously worked for two years as hotel manager at Pennyhill Park, Bagshot, Surrey, and before that as hotel manager of the Four Seasons Hampshire.

He has also previously worked in London at the Connaught, One Aldwych, the Savoy and the Berkeley, as well as in Paris at the Hotel Le Bristol.

Voight, who speaks German, English and French, said that he is looking forward to taking the service standards at the Arch London to the heights of the capital's best five-star hotels.
