Tudor-style Sussex B+B for sale
A Tudor-style B+B in East Sussex with a growing food trade has been put on the market through property agent Christie & Co.
The four-diamond property, which is believed to date back to the 1920s, has been extensively refurbished by current owners Tony and Jacqui Fowler.
It is set in the town of Seaford, which lies between Newhaven port and the resort of Eastbourne. The hotel is within a 30-minute drive of Brighton and Lewes, and is near the Seven Sisters countryside walks.
Tudor Manor has five bedrooms (including four poster suites with private bathrooms), a 14-seat lounge bar with an inglenook fireplace and beamed ceilings, and a 20-seat dining room.
Its extensive landscaped gardens include a wide-flagged sun terrace with additional seating at the front of the building and secure parking for 12 cars.
A self-contained owners' apartment offers two bedrooms, a lounge, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a loft room.
"Tudor Manor trades as a high quality bed and breakfast business with an ETC Four Diamond silver award," said Simon Bland from the Maidstone office of Christie & Co.
"Since late 2005, it has offered a full evening menu to guests and non-residents and is now also open for morning coffee and afternoon tea and offers considerable potential to increase turnover through building on this trade."
Christie & Co is seeking offers of around £850,000 for the freehold.
