Wharf Leisure buys leading Exeter nightclub

Warehouse Boxes and Boogies, one of Exeter's largest nightclubs, has been sold to Steve, Mike and Dionne Shute, who trade as Wharf Leisure.

The property, which is located on the city's quayside, is a Grade II-listed building converted from two bonded warehouses constructed in the early 1800s.

The clubs are split into three units spread over two floors. They include the 350-capacity Boxes on the ground floor and, on the first floor, the Warehouse and Boogies clubs which can hold up to 500 and 350 respectively.

Licensed property agent Stonesmith of Exeter sold the leasehold for close to the asking price of £350,000 for the previous owners, David and Veronica Hughes.
