Revamped menus boost Tasty Group sales and profits

Tasty Group, which operates the Wildwood and Dim T restaurant brands, has seen a sharp rise in turnover and profit for the half year to 30 June 2013.

The group, run by serial restaurateurs Adam and Sam Kaye, saw revenue climb to almost £11m for the period. Pre-tax profit more than doubled to £787,000 over the same period.

The company opened two new Wildwood restaurants, at South Woodford and Newmarket in April, plus a Wildwood Kitchen at Didcot in March. A further Wildwood Kitchen was opened in July at Barnes.

The group said sales had been boosted by updated menus, while food and labour margins were also improving.

Tasty has 27 restaurants, including 6 Dim Ts, 17 Wildwoods and four Wildwood Kitchens.
