Shropshire operators buy Shrewsbury restaurant

Ann and Danny DiTella are the new owners of the Jesters restaurant with rooms in the Shropshire town of Shrewsbury.

The restaurant and bar occupy the ground floor of two adjoining Grade II-listed terraced properties in St Mary's Street, right in the heart of the town's conservation area.

It can comfortably seat 60 people inside and 30 outside in the sheltered courtyard garden.

The business also benefits from four recently-fitted luxury bedrooms.

The DiTellas have worked in the hospitality sector worldwide, including stints in Africa and Los Angeles. Most recently, they owned Cromwells restaurant in Shrewsbury before moving on to operate the upmarket Mytton and Mermaid hotel and restaurant in Atcham.

Acting for the vendor, business transfer agent Forum sold the freehold off an asking price of £875,000.
