Searcys nets five-year contract with Stationers' Hall in London

Searcys has secured a five-year contract to provide catering services at Stationers' Hall in London when it reopens in July.

The Grade I-listed building, located by St Paul's Cathedral, was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1673 and is one of the few Livery Halls remaining in the City of London.

It has since been used as a venue for corporate and private events and is currently undergoing a £7.5m refurbishment.

Event spaces include a main hall with carved oak paneling dating back to the 1600s and a garden that can be hired for weddings, receptions and parties.

New areas added as part of the refurbishment include a meeting room, available theatre-style or as three separate board rooms, and a private dining space seating 12 with views of the garden. Air cooling will be added in the main rooms with step-free access provided throughout.

Searcys menus will showcase seasonal produce from across the country with packages ranging from breakfast to fine-dining experiences.

In 2023 the Hall will celebrate its 350th anniversary since being rebuilt, following Searcys' own 175th celebrations this year.

Peter Martin, Searcys account director for Stationers' Hall, said: "We are delighted to have been chosen by the Stationers Company to open the Hall after its extensive refurbishment. It is a fantastic opportunity to mark our double anniversaries – 350th and 175th – and we are looking forward to welcoming our first guests in the summer."

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
