Cameron House appoints Michael Lavizani as resort director

Cameron House on Loch Lomond has appointed Michael Lavizani as resort director.

Lavizani joins during a significant period of the resort's history as it celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.

Lavizani most recently served as general manager at Marine Troon spa and resort, where he oversaw the refurbishment of the hotel to five-star standards under new ownership.

With over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry, Lavzani began his career as assistant manager at the Royal Horseguards in London, before becoming general manager of Shrigley Hall hotel and spa in Cheshire.

Throughout his time in the sector, he has worked with many leading companies including De Vere Estates, and DoubleTree by Hilton.

Of his appointment, which will see him lead the hotel's 500-strong team, Lavizani said: "I have lived in close proximity to the resort for the past 25 years and have always considered it the pinnacle of Scottish hospitality.

"I'm privileged to be leading such an incredible team of passionate professionals and to now be part of the 200-year history".

He added that he was keen to "propel" the five-star hotel's status to the "most internationally recognised luxury hotel in Scotland".
