BaxterStorey chef Hayden Groves wins Happy Birthday iPad from Aviko

Hayden Groves, executive chef for contract caterer BaxterStorey, has won a brand new iPad for simply wishing Aviko congratulations on its half-century in business.

The former head chef at Lloyd's of London said: "It's fantastic to have won. It was a real surprise for me but I have to admit it is a very pleasant one.

"I'm a member of the Craft Guild of Chefs so I know Aviko and their potato products well from the company's close relationship with the Guild."

Mohammed Essa, general manager UK & Ireland at Aviko, said: "Congratulations to Hayden on his win, and my thanks to everyone that supported the competition and left birthday messages on our Twitter wall.

"In 50 years Aviko has gone from a co-operative of farmers huddled around a table to a fully modernised, major global player. As we continue to develop our online presence and bring innovation to the fore of the potato market, we hope the next 50 years will bring even more success."

Aviko's Twitter page is a share ideas and practical know-how. The portal features recipe ideas, insight, competitions, cooking hints and tips and caterers can access a wealth of advice on how to harness the versatility of potatoes.
