Deadlines for North West Young Chef extended

Essential Cuisine has extended the deadlines in all six regions of the North West Young Chef of the Year competition.

Essential Cuisine, managing director, Nigel Crane, said: "The spotlight of competition is where many of today's most successful chefs have earned their stripes. Not only will our 2015 winner get the kudos of wining such a prestigious competition, they will also be able to go on and test their skills against the best young chefs in the UK. We recognise how busy modern kitchens can be which is why we're offering this one-off extension for chefs to get involved."

Now in its 13th year the competition calls upon chefs to produce a three-course meal for two with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce.
