First UK coffee week postponed

The http://www.allegrastrategies.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Allegra Foundation has announced it is postponing the first ever UK Coffee Week until Spring 2011, with exact dates yet to be confirmed.

The event was due to take place from 27 September to 3 October 2010 but the decision to delay it was taken following requests from a number of industry stakeholders who required more lead-time to maximise their involvement in the programme.

UK Coffee Week aims to raise more than £1m in 2011 from customer donations for clean drinking water projects in coffee-producing countries in Africa via Project Waterfall. A London Coffee Festival is also planned next year, with 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales donated to Project Waterfall.
