Healthier meatballs from Snowbird

Snowbird Foods has reduced-fat and reduced-salt meatballs for the school meals sector.
Made with British beef, they also introduce young palates to sophisticated flavours as the recipe includes red peppers, basil, oregano, fennel, coriander, capsicum, nutmeg and mace as well as more familiar flavours such as onions and tomato purée.
The recipe contains 30% less fat and salt than regular products and a halal version is also available.
The recommended serving is three 15g meatballs in junior schools and four in secondary pupils.
