The search is on to find the Caterer and Hotelkeeper 2010 Excellence in Food & Drink Award winners, and suppliers have until Friday 18 June to enter. There are 20 categories, which include, for the first time, one open to any food or drink products for people with a food intolerance, for instance, products that are gluten- or lactose-free. Products do not need to be new to market.
Beside the opportunity to win one of the prestigious Excellence in Food & Drink Awards trophies, which marks a product as the best in its category, one category winner will be picked by the judges to receive the coveted Gold Award.
Last year's winners included Pig in a Poke Old Spot Red from Wheelbarrow Wines; Grand Café Triple Certified Coffee from First Choice Coffee; and Cognac VSOP by Mövenpick Ice Cream. The Gold Award went to Brakes' Blacksticks Blue Cheese & Walnut Soufflé.
Croydon College Hospitality Department will be hosting the judging in the week commencing 26 July and the awards ceremony takes place on 26 November at the Dorchester hotel, London.
