Self-service brewers from Marco

The self-service option that has been added to Marco's bulk filter coffee brewers - the Qwikbrew single and twin models and the Maxibrew - will appeal to high-volume operators such as hotels, banqueting venues and staff restaurants seeking an affordable self-service machine.

Marco's new Self-Service brewers allow staff to serve themselves from the back using free-flow Tomlinson-style handles, while customers can draw coffee from the front using a push-and-hold mechanism that dispenses coffee for as long as the button is depressed, allowing the use of different cup sizes.

They brew filter coffee to the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe's Gold Cup Award standards but using a lower dosage of coffee per cup than bean-to-cup or automatic machines, and provide hot water for tea. Hourly output ranges from 139 to 529 coffees and from 156 to 467 cups of hot water.

Standard features include full- and half-brew, simultaneous brewing on twin-urn models, security lock, barrier rail, recessed cup stations, a secondary filter to prevent grounds overflowing and AquaIsolate technology to separate water from the electrics.

The units have a brushed stainless-steel finish and can be branded.
