Supplier press release: Bernard Matthews To Sponsor School Catering Award

Bernard Matthews Foodservice is sponsoring the School Catering Award at this year's Education Business (EB) Awards.

The 2012 EB Awards, attended by around 350 head teachers, deputy heads, heads of department, school business managers and bursars, will be held on December 6 at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium. The Awards will reward the efforts made by primary and secondary schools from across all sectors in facilities, specialisms and innovation.

The School Catering Award, which is one of 20 gongs up for grabs at the event presented by Gavin Esler of BBC's Newsnight, will be presented to an educational establishment in the UK that can demonstrate a commitment to healthy eating and value for money through the provision of a first class catering service available to all students.

"We are delighted to be sponsoring the School Catering Award at the 2012 EB Awards," said
Duncan Marsh, general manager for Bernard Matthews Foodservice. "We are firm believers that schools should offer their students healthy meals at healthy prices, which is why so many schools across the UK lean on our Big Green Tick range of turkey cuts and ingredients products. This award recognises schools who are committed to healthy eating and provision of first class catering which ultimately helps to increase school meals uptake."
