Win a Farm Stay Valentine Day's break from Bernard Matthews
Bernard Matthews Foodservice has launched a "Change your Meat Not Your Menu" campaign to promote turkey as a leaner and healthier substitute for red meats in popular dishes such as curry and cottage pie.
For instance, replacing the beef in spaghetti bolognese with minced turkey thigh slashes the saturated fat content from 16g to 5g.
To underline turkey's credentials as an all-year meat that will not build up the love handles, the group is offering one lucky reader a romantic Valentine's Day break in Norfolk, the county where it all started for the group's founder, farmer Bernard Matthews.
The winner will receive £200 to spend with Farm Stay, which operates stylish country B&Bs, ancient farmhouse accommodation and picturesque self-catering cottages.
