Ronnie Scott's sold for £3m

Famous London jazz haunt Ronnie Scott's has been sold for a reported £3m to Sally Greene and Robert Bourne.

Greene, a former actress, has taken over and restored the Richmond, the Criterion and the Old Vic theatres, while property tycoon Bourne owns Rosewheel, which is involved in plans to develop London's Chinatown.

Scott's is credited with helping introduce artists from the vibrant American jazz scene to the UK since foundation in 1959, as well as helping develop the best of British.

All current staff will be kept on at the 46-year-old venue.

Davis Coffer Lyons advised the clubs owner Pete King.
