Am I ready to be assistant conference and banqueting manager?

Question

I have just graduated this year with a BA Hons in Hospitality Business Management at the Birmingham College of Food. I have worked in a 400-bedroom golf resort hotel in Kentucky for a year, moving through the roles of banquet server, bartender and wedding co-ordinator and then to special events reservations. I have also worked in the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham in guest services, checking in VIPs, aircrew and generally dealing with customer complaints. Between jobs I have worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant in Ludlow.

With the added benefit of being 25 years old and having other types of employment under my belt, will I qualify for the role of assistant conference and banqueting (C&B) manager based on my experience so far?
