BII appoints new chief executive

The BII has appointed Tim Hulme as its new chief executive.

Hulme will replace Peter Thomas, who will stand down at the end of March 2013.

Hulme is currently deputy principal at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, London's largest further education college.

He will take up his new post in January 2013 and after an induction and handover will assume responsibility for the BII in early February.

Thomas will provide help and support to Hulme throughout this period and will assist in the development of some "major strategic planning and new initiatives".
