THE British Tourist Authority (BTA) has published a compendium of UK tourism facts. The 97-page booklet is filled with statistics from a range of sources, including the Department of National Heritage's International Passenger Survey and the British National Travel Survey.
Areas covered in the digest are visitor numbers, tourist expenditure, hotel supply and occupancy, domestic holidays and international travel. Copies are available for £40 post free from Department D, BTA, Thames Tower, Blacks Road, Hammersmith, London W6 9EL.
