Deliverance for venture capitalists
Deliverance, the home-delivery business, has been sold to a venture capitalist firm for between £5.5m and £6m.
The company, which was founded in 1997 by two former barristers, Patrick Reeves and Rohan Blacker, was sold to Active Private Equity, the business owned by ex-chairman of the BBC, Gavin Davies, last week.
It is believed that both Reeves and Blacker will leave the company.
Deliverance, which delivers Thai, Chinese, Indian and pizza, as well as beer and wine, has three operational kitchens in London: in Battersea, Holburn and White City.
